How to Enable Crossplay on Your Valheim Server

Enabling crossplay allows Xbox, Game Pass, PS5 and Switch 2 players to join your Valheim server alongside Steam players. Once enabled, a join code is generated and shown in the Web Console.

Steps

  1. Log into the Game Control Panel and navigate to your server.
  2. Click the Command Line Manager button.
  3. Click Select on the "Default" command line.
  4. Check the checkbox next to the Crossplay option.
  5. Click Save, then restart your server.
  6. Open the Web Console and wait for the server to finish loading. The join code will appear in the console output, similar to:
    11/26/2022 05:05:45: Session "Valheim - Hosted by HostHavoc.com" with join code 978199 and IP 104.192.227.54:27029 is active with 0 player(s)

Find the join code in the Game Panel

You can also get the join code without the Web Console. Once crossplay is enabled and the server has started, open your server in the Game Control Panel and click Valheim Join Code (Crossplay) to see the current join code.

Share the join code with console and Game Pass players so they can connect. To grant admin rights to a console or Game Pass player, see Add Admins.
